Training for Organizations in English

I offer live training for organizations focused on profound autism and everyday life with very high support needs.
The goal is simple:
to give professionals working in demanding autism support practical tools for shared understanding, prevention, consistent ways of working and a clearer common direction - so that no one is left alone when the most difficult situations arise.
Training is available online and on site in Finland, and internationally by agreement.
Training is always priced individually based on a tailored quote. When requesting a quote, please include your wishes, needs and preferred focus areas, so I can create a package that fits your organization.

When the Patient Does Not Speak
Training for healthcare teams on meeting the needs of profoundly autistic, non-speaking patients
This training is designed for healthcare professionals who meet non-speaking or minimally speaking profoundly autistic patients in outpatient care, emergency settings, dental care, laboratories, imaging, and other examination and treatment situations.
The training covers how to recognise somatic causes behind behaviour, how to read arousal state, reduce overload, and adjust the environment so that the encounter becomes safer for both the patient and the staff.
The training is based on the W.H.I.C.H.® framework and includes practical tools such as the pain behaviour profile, the companion checklist, and the healthcare infographic.
Available as a 3–5 hour training or a more extensive 6–8 hour format.

Additional training topics available
Foundational training on profound autism
Practical training on behaviour as communication, sensory processing, overload, nervous system regulation, and everyday support in profound autism.
W.H.I.C.H. framework training
Deeper training based on the W.H.I.C.H. framework, with a focus on structured assessment, understanding root causes, and building consistent ways of working.
Deep Autism in Adulthood
This training explores the specific questions and support needs related to deep autism in adulthood. Topics include daily structure, interaction, recognising overload, safety, sensory needs, supporting functioning, and the practical realities of housing, day activities, and other forms of adult support. The training helps participants understand how deep autism may present in adult life and why the kinds of support needed can differ from those used in childhood. The goal is to help build everyday life that is calmer, safer, and more workable.
Especially suitable for residential services, supported living units, day activity services, disability services, and other professionals supporting profoundly autistic adults.
Sensory Processing in Deep Autism
This training takes a deeper look at the role of sensory processing in deep autism and at how different sensory profiles, sensory seeking, and environmental factors affect a person’s wellbeing, behaviour, and ability to function. The training goes through practical ways to understand sensory overload early on and to identify what kinds of adjustments can make everyday life safer and less overwhelming.
Especially suitable for parents, support staff, teachers, therapists, and anyone working with autistic people who need substantial support.
Training for occasional or acute encounters
Targeted training for professionals who may encounter a profoundly autistic person only occasionally, unexpectedly, or in acute situations. This may include healthcare, psychiatry, emergency services, rescue services, police, and social services.
